1.02 Opening

Second day! It was quite a good day but the weather is humid than singapore! Especially when we've to walk more than 1km to & fro from our dorm. to classes & other areas, and just by walking, we'll sweat.

In the morning, we reported @ 8am to have breakfast in their canteen 2! Speaking of canteen 2, it gave me a good picture of it as my school has quite a good c2. Before moving out to have our hearty breakfast, Mr Tan distributed a card for us to use in buying food & other products in the canteen, it works the function similar of a kopitiam card in sg. So yeah, to cut the story short, we went in feeling abit shocked as it wasn't like what I thought! It's rather dull in the canteen & there's a little stench in the atmosphere. But the canteen is wide and big with alot of stores. When we went in, only a few stores is opened and the queue blown us away. But guess what? there's level two!

Until then we reached at our host's school...

School of Foreign Language

This mountainous school which is located at quite high, it is going to be our class for the next 6 weeks! Moving on into our schedule, we are able to access the internet inside a classroom. I didn't did much though, Checked mails->play a little games->sent out a few emails yeah. Just before we went ahead with lunch, Mr Tan lost his camera in the room. We thought it's a goner, but thanks God! He managed to found it back in the room which he left it there when he's exploring. So, I thought of a learning point whereby coming to a foreign country, it is not easy to keep focus of many things at one go. That's a challenge everybody have to go through I supposed.

Because of the fulfilling ramian in the morning, most of us skipped lunch & chilled out @ c2.

After then we went out to have our 1st outdoor activity -> getting a prepaid card! Looking through 2 shops, we skipped the 1st one as it only provides services for locals and headed to the second one. This is an interesting one man as there's a little conflict broke out because of some mischieve business dealings of the shopkeeper. From what I heard from the "tour guide" (our host's staff), She said that she clearly stated that she wanted to get prepaid cards for us to call out to our country, etc. In the end, she still provided us with the wrong prepaid card that disallows that but able to call other provinces (which the shopkeeper thought this is what we wanted).

Then the conflict goes on...


Yeah, crossing a wide road is quite a challenge for us as the road is as wide as a expressway! So, to be able to cross it, we got to have the tactics to cut through the traffic! Anyway, we reached in the supermart. Looked around and bought quite alot of essential stuffs for our roomies. Also, I saw some snacks that I'm considering to bring back for my dear ones and back to room to eat! By the way, the supermart isn't the size of that word, but it's a quite a size comparable with Giant in SG!


Something interesting I found out is that they don't put ur items straight in plastic bags like those in typical marts in sg. But they cleared stuffs first and then stuff as much as possible into 1 plastic bag.

Bottomline: plastic bag needs to be paid as well!


Apart from that, I really could sense that China really live up to their harmonous culture whereby when our turn in the queue reached, instead of only the frontdesk people doing the baggings, people like the security guard and other staffs would come and help out! *inspired*


After getting all the things settled in our rooms, we relax until in the night when the party's on (KTV)! Their KTV was not bad. In fact, I had alot of fun with my friends singing, thought I don't really sing well. What's interesting is that it's in one of their buildings in their campus! Together with the gym, other indoor sports/entertainment area.
